Garden Tennis/Volleyball/Badminton Set
The Fun of Smack Back
A game intended to create fun and exercise and with it the development of hand eye co-ordination and basic volley or tennis skills for all ages. Easy to set up and suitable for lawns or driveways or even the beach. 4 m net and simple court layout means it is ideal for small or large gardens. The use of wooden bats and soft foam balls makes the set versatile and great fun even where the lawn or playing surface is uneven. It is suitable for 2 or 4 players.
Marking the layout. Peg a length of string down according to the shape and measurements of the court. Sprinkle the powder on to the lawn along the lines.

Smack Back Tennis Rules​

Serve from behind service line (baseline) (one service only)

Serve overhead or underhand and ball must bounce in opponents diagonal service court.

The ball can be volleyed or allowed to bounce once in the court area during rallies.

The ball is out if it bounces out of the court area

The ball cannot land in no man's land and no part of a players body may touch the ground in no man's land.
Volley only game (for beach or uneven surface)

Serve not allowed to bounce.

No bounces during rally
Scoring

as for tennis but sudden death point after deuce

OR 0-21 as for Table Tennis

A point is scored on every rally

Change ends after every 2 games

Tiebreak at 6 games all.

Win by two points after 6 points all as for tennis.
Volleyball or Badminton

​Extension poles allow adjustments from 90 cm (tennis) to 130, 140, 150 or 160 cm thus providing suitable heights for a range of ages. (NB volleyball ball and badminton racquets and shuttlecocks are not included in the set but are readily available in many stores or sports shops).
